Update:03 February 2012This year we will be trialling a nominations, or RSVP for our Muster's & Mini-Musters to assist with Catering & organisation of appropriate number's of Instructor's for the numbers of rider's attending. This will ensure an adequate amount of food is delivered on site for the day & the Instructor's given enough notice to be available on the day. Please RSVP ASAP for the first mini muster of the year to be held on Saturday, 11 February. We would like to confirm attendance numbers in order to cater (as food is now kept off the grounds) and plan out the lessons. New rider / horse combinations will be assessed from 2 – 3pm. PLEASE NOTE: No one will be permitted to ride unless they have signed on as a member for 2012 and paid full membership fees. Please RSVP attendance to secretary.mgdhpc@hotmail.com

Due to the rainy weather the Mt Gravatt Horse and Pony Club Ribbon Day Derby scheduled for tomorrow has been POSTPONED(Sunday 28th August). The Mt Gravatt Members Ribbon Day Derby will now be held on Sunday 25th September (weather permitting!)
If anyone wishes to still enter please complete the Nomination Form & send to Deb Mountford
Don't forget Body Protectors will be required (or loaned) for the Derby (Per Jan 2011 PCAQ Rules).

Due to the potential risk of the spread of the Hendra Virus the 2011 Kilkivan Great Horse Ride has been CANCELLED. The committee is disappointed the Horse Ride can't run but have the best interest of Riders, Horses, Property owners & the general public at heart.
The 2012 Kilkivan Great Horse Ride will be 31 March 2012.

DEPART: 9AM SHARP From Koala Park, ALPERTON ROAD,BURBANK. Parking Available on site.RETURN: 11:30AM FOR A BBQ LUNCH.
Please reply for catering by the 20TH MAY. There will be a sausage sizzle, hamburgers and drinks.
If you would like your own food cooked give it to Kerry in the morning.
Please RSVP To Linda Udell. Float spaces may be available for people who don't have transport.

Muster Day
Due to the number of families that are away, the committee has decided that the Easter Sunday Muster will be cancelled. Instead a ribbon day Gymkhana is being planned for 14th May. Full details will be available shortly. Happy Riding and Happy Easter!Update:15 April 2011

Seniors Friday night Muster (Scheduled 8th April 6pm) has been cancelled due to wet weather.
Juniors Mini Muster (Scheduled Sat 9th April 1-4pm) to be advised.
Redlands Showjumping Event scheduled for Sun 10th April has been cancelled due to wet weather.
Next Committee Meeting Wed 20th April.
Next Muster Scheduled 24th April To Be Confirmed.

This Friday nite is our Senior get together starting at 6pm. I thought that we would try again to have our Horsemastership talk and ask that you all come down to the front of the clubhouse - without horses - so that we can go over some other aspects regarding our horses. I will require the use of ONE quiet horse (no tack on but bought along to use later) for this demonstration and you guys can sort out between you whose horse it will be. Later on we will do some flatwork and jumping. Look forward to seeing everyone on Friday nite from 6pm.

The Mt Gravatt Pony Club has just had our first competition of the year! The Open Showjumping Day on the 6th of Feb was a HUGE success. Thankyou to everyone who helped out at the working bee and on the day. The number of members lending a hand wherever they could is certainly something we can all be proud of!
